LOSING IT 2007: Mad Chicks Sans Frontières (08/03/2007) In celebration of International Women's Day, Losing It featured female artists of all genres including Ana da Silva, founding member of the supremely influential post-punk band The Raincoats; neo-pop diva Anat Ben David of Chicks on Speed; renowned improvisational vocalists Maggie Nicols and Francine Luce; Psychological Art Circus, Lucy Panesar performing her new live art work 'The Smoking Sufragettes' and much much more. Building on the success of Creative Routes' The Female Muses 2006 Women's week event, Losing It celebrated cultural and psychological diversity and encourages self-empowerment for mad women, who belong to one of the most marginalised groups in our society. LAUNCH EVENT: 27 November 2004, London We launched Mad Chicks with a day and evening of events exploring, raging about and improving women's mental health. Held at the Union Chapel at London's Highbury Corner, it included an info-fair, creative workshops, massage, debates, video, artwork, a cafe, and, in the evening, a great gig with music, comedy, poetry, live arts and general merriment.
